Resumen
El cambio climático está provocando cambios significativos en las condiciones de vida de muchas especies a través del aumento de las temperaturas, cambios en la distribución de las precipitaciones y fenómenos meteorológicos extremos más frecuentes, como fuertes lluvias, tormentas, olas de calor y períodos de sequía. Es necesario realizar estudios que traigan a la palestra el debate de estos cambios. En se sentido, el presente estudio describe la situación actual respecto de la relación del cambio climático, la sostenibilidad y las áreas naturales protegidas para la cual se realizó una revisión bibliográfica y el análisis se presenta como un documento de revisión. El análisis indica que la naturaleza tiene un gran potencial para contrarrestar los efectos del cambio climático. También hay una gran cantidad de " soluciones basadas en la naturaleza " que no solo ayudan a adaptarse al cambio climático, sino que también ofrecen diversos efectos de sinergia. Para mejorar la resiliencia de la naturaleza al cambio climático, se requiere una red coherente y bien conectada de áreas protegidas. Un claro ejemplo es La red europea Natura 2000 de áreas protegidas es una columna vertebral importante para la protección de especies y hábitats.
