Abstract

The lesson study is a pedagogical methodology that allows the strengthening of academic learning, starting from the identification of the problem, followed by the analysis, observation, re- planning, execution of the re-planning and dissemination of results. All this process is carried out in a collaborative way between teachers and directors and students, thus promoting the correction of shortcomings in teaching practice. This document provides a general overview of the study of the lesson, as well as case studies in Norway, the United States and Japan where the application of the mentioned methodology generates positive results. The information described was carried out through a bibliographic review in databases such as: ScienceDirect, MDPI and academic Google. The documentary sources consulted include: scientific articles and books. It is important to mention that the study of the lesson is a tool that allows the strengthening and continuous improvement in the teacher - student learning
