Abstract
Oral health conditions have debilitating impacts on people's daily lives. The impact of social class on individuals' quality of life experiences is well documented, with those who are socially disadvantaged reporting greater impacts. A variety of models have been proposed to explain the association between oral health and quality of life. This study analyzes the relationship between food, oral health, and quality of life through a literature review. The findings provide further evidence that social disadvantage at any stage of life has detrimental effects on oral health-related quality of life.
