Abstract

This study analyzes the effects of the pedagogical and responsible use of digital technologies in the teaching and learning process of basic education. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, descriptive-correlational design, applying surveys to teachers and students of a basic education institution. The results show that the pedagogical integration of digital technologies contributes to improved motivation, content comprehension, and meaningful learning, provided that their use is aligned with curricular objectives and appropriate teaching strategies. A positive relationship was also identified between the pedagogical use of technologies and the perceived improvement of the educational process. However, weaknesses were identified in the promotion of the responsible use of technologies, especially in aspects related to digital citizenship. It is concluded that technology constitutes a valuable resource for basic education, provided that it is accompanied by teacher training and clear guidelines for its responsible use.
