Abstract

Your mouth, teeth, and gums are more than just tools for eating. They are essential for chewing and swallowing, the first steps in the digestive process. Your mouth is the initial point of contact between your body and the nutrients you consume. So, what you put in your mouth affects not only your overall health but also the health of your teeth and gums. But current dietary trends have worsened oral health. In that regard, this study presents the relationship between food and dental health. The findings indicate that, for good dental health, it is recommended that people limit eating and drinking between meals. Of course, snacking between meals is sometimes necessary. Unfortunately, most people choose foods like candy and chips as snacks; foods that damage teeth by promoting tooth decay.
