Abstract

This article analyzes the influence of playful and didactic strategies on strengthening reading comprehension in the early years of education, based on a literature review of relevant scientific sources in the field of education. Reading comprehension is addressed as an essential skill for the cognitive, linguistic, and academic development of students, especially in the initial stages of schooling. The analysis reveals that playful strategies foster motivation, active participation, and socio-emotional development, while didactic strategies provide structure, pedagogical guidance, and cognitive depth to the reading process. Integrating both approaches contributes to generating meaningful learning, addressing classroom diversity, and strengthening teacher mediation. It is concluded that the planned and coordinated application of playful and didactic strategies is fundamental for improving reading comprehension and promoting a love of reading from an early age.
